Welcome to my blog!! I’m so grateful you have stopped by to check it out. I am passionate about spreading awareness of mental health and many of the issues individuals and families face during this journey.  I am also on a mission to do what I can to work towards ending the stigma society continues to place on mental health issues. I love having opportunities to educate others on mental illness in order to help more to understand that mental illness is more common than most of us would like to believe. My hope is that one day, people will feel as comfortable with saying, “I’m too depressed to come to work today” as easily as they say, “I’m too physically ill to come to work today”. We need to start treating each other with respect and acceptance. Won’t you join me?

In addition to my passion with mental health, I am also a mother to 4 amazing sons, 3 dogs, 1 cat. I am also a full time realtor here in Orlando.  In 2019, I published a book about my journey with depression and re-released an updated version in 2022! You can access your copy HERE.  I love to travel and taking road trips to see our beautiful country. I love the beach and the warm sunshine. It is my happy place and I hope to move there soon.  I find joy in helping others understand their depression better and find the strategies and techniques that help them regain peace, find joy and unleash the power of their minds. Over the years I have struggled with depression and have learned a lot about how to live with it, manage it and conquer it. Our family has also had many other challenges that have forced me to learn things I never knew I’d needed to know. My hope is that many of my experiences and knowledge will be able to help others either in their struggles or to simply understand more. My motto in life is, “We are stronger together.”
